Thanks for all the great name suggestions. Some of them were pretty close to our other pets names so that didn't work.
Her stripey legs, brute strength and the mister's Swedish heritage* led us to our choice. This was the easiest creature to name that has ever joined our family. It must be a good one.
I wish I had more pics to share but she's so fast it's hard to catch her. She's eating and growing and getting along well with the dogs. She whipped them into shape with her tiny little baby hiss. We try not to laugh.
It's been a lot of work and so very very very very very much fun. Plans have been canceled. Who needs entertainment when you have a crazy kitten to remind you of so many of the good things in life. Everything is a toy. Everything must be examined, biten, jumped on, batted at. I've tried to warn her about the bad mix that is curiosity and felines but she has a mind of her own.
It's even easy to forget how close I am to cycling. I have my consult with Dr. South America (ooooh, I know I'm so clever with the fake names, no one could possibly guess who that is, right?) tomorrow morning. At the butt crack of dawn.
A year ago I would have been at work for more than an hour at the time my fingers will be doing the walking. But that was a long time ago. I'm far from an early bird these days.
So I'll be asking the good Dr. South America all about their fets. And the protocol. And the rumor that one doctor there has much lower success rates than the others. And if I really need to have another sonohysterogram. Isn't doing the infectious disease bloodwork for the 5th time enough? There's nothing more to be said about my uterus except it's pretty damn empty. Oh and I'll be asking her about how many embryos to transfer. That's one of the big questions.
But tonight Pippi needs some more attention. And millie needs some more kitten kisses.
*Who dares me to tell my evil MIL that Pippi will be the only other Swedish named member of the family? Do you think they'll cough up money for Pippi's college fund since she shares the mister's last name?
I think Pippi is set for college for that very reason. L has been on me for a kitten these days...might have to look into it.

Awesome kitty, great name, and screw MIL. I continue to fume when I read your postings about that heinous bitch.
Sorry. Got sidetracked. Awesome kitty!!! And can't wait to hear the news about the FETs.

Keep trying to catch Pippi on film. There can never be enough cute kittens in the blogosphere.
Do they do sonohysterograms for fun? Sheesh!

Great name. And it fits - I checked with the photo.
Best of luck with your appointment (and also cheers for the continued support).
