I'm pretty brain dead with jet lag today so I thought I'd share something that amused the hell out of me. Probably just me but that's ok.
They say that you'll spend the next year doing what you did on New Year's Day (let's hope that doesn't include bombs). The mister and I decided to test this by having Starbucks twice in one day. On two very separate continents.
First, I had a lovely chai latte at Narita airport in Japan at about 4:30 pm. Then much later (or is it earlier?) I had another lovely chai latte in California at 2 pm when we went to pick up our dogs at their 'camp'. Of course I had to tell the barristas. They all thought it was pretty cool. I didn't even pay them to say that.
I'm sure ol' Albert could have done it faster, bending the space-time continuum and all but this was the only way we could do it.
It's entertaining even if you didn't get to bend the space-time continuum. I'm glad you're home, safe and sound. Were the dogs delighted to see you or are they sulking?

I am glad you are back!
You certainly kicked off 2007 in a dramatic fashion. I am glad you are back safely. Can't wait to see some of your photos!

Oh, that's one I haven't heard before. I guess DH and I will be spending the next year in bed (in Monterey) and chowing down Mexican food. Sounds good to me!! :))

Beem me up Scottie! I'm glad you're home. Can't wait to hear about your adventures first hand... That bomb story scared me too! I am glad that you are ok, but sad for those who lost their lives/were injured.

Hmmmm, hoping that waiting in a long line for the airport restroom worried that the plane will leave without me isn't a harbinger of the year ahead--glad you and the Mister are safe home back on the left coast.
