Jeez, I haven't been here in a while. I'm sorry. Truly I am. Y'all were all so nice about my last post. Thanks for the sweet comments. I hope you don't think I've just been sitting around feeling sad. 'Cause for once, I haven't.
Here's what's going on in my life:
Demo began on the kitchen remodel last Wednesday.
Demo continued on Thursday.
Friday was Asbestos Day! Hooray for toxic materials!!! We had a whole crazy set up with negative air flow and menn in spacesuits. I felt much like the kids in ET.
The weekend passed in a haze of granite yards and related house errands.
Monday was the true end of demolition--we're down to the studs, baby!
I'd post some photos to amaze you all but...
Monday was also the death of my trusted laptop. Ok, not so trusted since the hard drive crashed on me LAST October when I was cycling at Garden State and I lost EVERYTHING. We IT folks are sometimes the worst at backing up. Well, I guess my laptop doesn't really like fall. I don't get it. Fall is my favorite time of the year. So now I get to post on the mister's computer. I don't like it much. It's one of those fruity kinds and I just find it harder to use.
I'm headed up to the lovely Pacific Northwest tomorrow for Initial Girl and Sandal Boy's wedding. I will have better access to my lovely blog and all of you than I do at home. How sad is that?
Keep the internet warm for me. I'll be back soon.
Definitely pictures required. You are talking my language...granite studs et al!
Have a good trip! I am sure you will have a much better time at the wedding than I did at mine.

Oh no, not the crashing laptop...the words send shivers down my spine. I'm on a trip away now and have realised I have not backed up for a LOOOOONG time. Bollocks.

That's okay if you haven't been around much cause I haven't been around much either--but now that I'm BACK, I'll be expecting a lot of posts from you, my dear. :-)
