Today was a good day. Because it was Friday? Nope. Because I showered and even put on tinted moisturizer, lip gloss and a tiny bit of mousse? Not so much.
Because I was able to schedule 3 drug deliveries from two separate carriers to all arrive before noon. ON THE SAME DAY! Yup. Nothing makes a gal happy like gonadatropins.
Not to mention Antagon, Dexamethasone, E2V (intramuscular shots of estrogen), E2V suppositories, Progesterone in Sesame Oil, Progesterone Suppositories, Folic Acid, Doxycline, Delestrogen and HCG.
Oh, and the needles! How could I forget the needles. I got insulin needles, 18 gauge, 21 gauge, 22 gauge, 25 gauge, 1 cc syringe, and 3 cc syringes. Could anything be better?
A cute little red box for putting those toys away and cleaning off my dresser, perhaps?
But wait, there's more. There's a lovely, lovely blue and yellow pen I've had my eye on for such a long time. No more glass vials to break (ok, there are a few but whatever). I can look like the chic woman in the gonal-f ad--with her color coordinated bag and pen.
Yes, Millie, there is a Santa Claus...or Easter Bunny...perhaps a Fertility Turtle? Something to make every little girl's wildest dreams come true.
(And a special thanks to my own Florence Nightingale who helped out the Turtle tremendously. I found her over at the free garage sale and she was totally great).
I can't believe I have to wait until Sunday for the first shot. How am I going to sleep until then?
PS The Zen thing is still working for me. So far, so good. I even had some bubble tea today. That's zen, right?
Did you ever think there would come a day when you would look forward to being a pin cushion? Good luck, my friend.
My box arrives tomorrow...

Good luck. The pen is really very clever. Well, as clever as these things get.
Sorry to hear about the difficulties the little ones are having. I think your offer to send a book is a very good idea.
Take care.

Hey, I had bubble tea yesterday, too. I'd never had it before. It was very zen, actually.
Good luck!

I love the pen for the shots! It doesn't even hurt now. Good luck with first shots today.
