Today is 14 DPO. I was supposed to be a good girl and go in for a beta this morning but I didn't feel like wasting the money. I talked myself into an hpt today and another in a week or two to assure me it's not ectopic again.
This cycle we tried Letrozole + 3 amps of gonal f. I only got to take the gonal-f for two days before it was time for the iui.
At my clinic, the doc of the week does the ultrasounds and procedures. Sometimes I don't see my doc at all during a cycle. This was one of those months.
I did get to see the head of the clinic twice. She's one of my favs there. On my CD 9 US, she and a very green fellow came into the room. The newbie didn't seem to have much confidence or luck with the machine. She was having a hard time finding my right ovary. I told her not to bother looking much because we don't really care much about that one (no tube there, remember). I told her that we were hoping for "left-leaning follicles" and I wanted her to find some there. The doc and I started joking about the Democratic Convention going on that week. I was hoping it would bring me luck. I figure as liberal as I am, surely some of my good eggs would follow suit.
The doc took over the us and told me she'd try to give me what I wanted and asked what that was.
I couldn't help myself. Truly. There's really only one answer to that question right now. "A baby."
No surprise today: BFN.
Sorry for the BFN...but look on the positive side...you get to be a part of the infertility clan one more month...at least....see what you would have been missing (note heavy heavy sarcasm here).
Well it looks like we have a few things in common...infertility, dogs, and baking :) Just introducing myself.....look forward to reading you...

I'm sorry, I really am. Thank you for adding me to your blog roll, I have returned the favor. Obviously you know we're the same age and have high FSH, the bitch that she is. And you know I love my dog. I love to cook too, especially baking :)
